dCAP Digium Certified Asterisk Professional

This Professional level certification consists of a 1.5 hour practical exam, as well as a 1.5 hour written exam. This comprehensive test confirms the recipient to be a genuine Asterisk Expert, by testing the individual's knowledge of Asterisk configuration and implementation, as well as related Traditional and IP telephony technologies. The dCAP targets experienced Asterisk professionals. The dCAP test consists of about 115 questions in a written exam concerning Asterisk and Asterisk-related technology. The answers are selected from a multiple choice list. There is also a hands-on practical lab exam in which you are asked to configure a PBX according to a given specification. The pass mark is set high and ensures you will be amongst an elite of Asterisk professionals who have truly earned a sought after accreditation. To pass the dCAP exam, it is recommended that you have read ‘Asterisk: The Definitive Guide’ 4th Edition by O’Reilly, have actual working knowledge of setting up and maintaining an Asterisk server, have familiarity with the Asterisk sample configuration files, and have taken the Asterisk Advanced course. Note: Taking the Asterisk Advanced course does not guarantee that you will pass the exam. That being said, we have a high success rate with candidates attempting the exam and passing the first time.
